I started this company because I've been there. I get it.
I had the traditional wedding I thought I was “supposed” to have, and to this day I wish I’d done it differently. While our wedding was perfectly lovely, the guest list was curated out of a sense of obligation, not based on who really mattered to us. We wanted an intimate, personal experience, but were pressured into following a traditional path. It was fine, but it was not "us".
That experience fuels LPS's passion to help you feel empowered and confident about doing things your way.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much should we budget for a planner? Every wedding is different, but hiring a full time planner typically accounts for 10-15% of the total wedding spend. At LPS, we charge 12% of the total wedding spend, with a minimum fee enforced. Check out our Services page for full details.
Where do you plan weddings? Anywhere! Really! We plan elopements all over the world. Our favorite elopement spots are Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Portugal! We plan intimate weddings all over the world, especially in beautiful southern New England, where we are based (think Boston, Cape Cod, Newport Rhode Island, Connecticut shore, Berkshires, the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire, coastal towns of Maine, and more!)
Do we really need a planner for our elopement or micro wedding? Do you NEED to hire a wedding planner? Of course not. In the same way that you don't NEED to have a wedding in the first place! Hiring a wedding planner saves you a tremendous amount of time, energy, and stress. And more often than not, hiring a wedding planner will actually save you money in the long run because they help you avoid costly mistakes, know what things should cost, dedicate time and energy to finding the perfect vendors for you, and manage your budget along the way. Elopements and micro weddings are inherently custom, which means there is no easy-quick-planning-guide you can download from Pinterest to do the hard work for you. Hiring a wedding planner is an excellent decision.
What's the typical planning timeline for a micro wedding or elopement? Because you're not boxed in by traditional wedding venues, the timeline can be whatever you want it to be! We've planned micro weddings and elopements a year in advance, and we've planned micro weddings and elopements a month in advance. Just like your wedding day, your wedding planning timeline can be whatever you want it to be!
What's the difference between a micro wedding and an elopement? Truth is, it's a sliding scale. An elopement typically includes the couple by themselves, or a small handful of guests. They include a ceremony, special touches like florals and hair/make-up, professional photography, and typically a high-end private dinner for the couple. A micro wedding more closely resembles a traditional wedding as far as the components of the day go: a ceremony, a venue/location for a reception celebration, catered food and drink, floral installations, music and dancing, guest management, guest entertainment, transportation, day-of coordination by the planning team, etc. Of course, every elopement and micro wedding is different and inherently out-of-the-box, but this just gives you an idea.
